Villa Marchi is a period property with high ceilings, and many character features. It is one of the very few Mediterranean villas on the island. When it was built (1873) it was declared „the most beautiful villa in Dalmatia.“ So significant was its reputation, architecture and beauty – it was visited by the Austrian emperor Frantz Joseph during his visit to Hvar. The villa also boasts the most spectacular see views. It is a gated property with stone walls all around it. Just outside the gate there are steps that lead directly onto to sea.

My husband Rupert and I lived in the UK up to 2003. I am originally from Hvar and my husband is English. We have a property real estate business in Hvar, Balustrade Estates. We believe we chose for our own investment the best that Hvar has to offer. I have a flair for interior design and I enjoy remodelling and restoring old homes. I also like classical music and history.
